Editorial policy
Where the facts on this site come from, how we write about fit and washing, and how to tell us we got something wrong.
Every page on wernies.net is written by the people who run the Wernies catalog. This is how we decide what goes on a page.
Facts about our socks
Fiber content, care instructions, heel grips, pairs per pack, colors and shoe size ranges come from our own product data. Where two descriptions of the same sock disagree, the site prints the more careful of the two, or leaves the detail out.
Photographs and the film on the home page are our own. We leave out the frames with text printed over them, so a picture on this site shows the sock and nothing written on top of it.
What we do not claim
We describe how a sock is cut and knit. We do not make promises about foot health, odor or comfort that a sock cannot keep for every foot.
Labels and care
Our sock care guide points to the rules the Federal Trade Commission publishes for care instructions and fiber content. We read each source before we cite it, and the date we read it is printed next to it. This is general information about sock fit, fabric and washing. Follow the care instructions printed on your pack first.
Corrections
If a size, a pack or a sentence here is wrong, write to heelgrip@wernies.net. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
