About Wernies
Wernies makes socks for the part of the day nobody thinks about, and it has done that for 8 years.
What we make
Wernies started in 2018. Today the sock with the most ratings in the Wernies catalog is a women's low cut cotton no show with silicone strips inside the heel, and most of the range is a variation on the same problem: a sock that has to stay put where you cannot see it.
Today the range covers women's no show socks in cotton and mesh knits, a liner that reaches shoe size 14, three men's models, and a small shelf of socks meant to be seen: ruffle crew socks, a lightweight crew and a striped cotton crew.
Who they are for
People who wear sneakers, loafers and boat shoes without a visible sock, and who are tired of fishing a sock back out from under their arch. People who buy socks by the bag, because a working week needs more than three pairs. And, on the ruffle shelf, people who want the sock to be part of the outfit.
How the socks differ from each other
Three things change from one Wernies model to the next: the knit on top of the foot (closed cotton or open mesh), the silicone at the heel (three strips on most models, four layers on the cushioned mesh model), and the size of the bag, from four pairs to sixteen.
Colors stay close to what people wear every day: black, white, gray, beige and heather mixes, with one pastel pack for women. The size ranges follow US shoe sizes, and each product page lists the shoes that model is cut for and the ones it is not.
